If your authenticator app (like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or any similar application) is being restricted despite not having been blocked by you, the problem is likely tied to the “Block Device Settings” feature being activated in Strict Mode.

Why This Happens:

Authenticator applications generally need access to specific device settings to operate effectively, particularly when confirming your identity for various apps and services. When the Block Device Settings feature of AppBlock is turned on, it limits access to these settings, which may inadvertently prevent your authenticator from functioning.

How to Fix It:

To regain access to your authenticator app, you can turn off the Block Device Settings feature within Strict Mode. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open AppBlock.
  2. Go to Strict Mode settings and disable Strict Mode.
  3. Find the “Block Device Settings” option.
  4. Turn off this option.

Doing this should enable your authenticator app to operate without restrictions.
